With Culswick Broch, a standing stone and numerous traditional croft remains near by the surrounding area is well known
for its archaeology.

Wildlife...
Nature lovers are virtually guaranteed to see a wide range of birds across the meadow, a short walk takes you to spectacular
cliffs where there are many seabirds to be viewed along with seals who will keep a watchful eye on you. Your patience may
even be rewarded with an otter sighting, although these are more difficult to spot.

Astronomy...
This back of beyond holiday destination is also great for star gazers - Culswick does not have any light pollution - particularly
valuable for viewing the northern lights.

Weather...
While in Shetland the weather is always a very important topic of conversation - as it changes frequently. Visitors are
advised to bring warm waterproof clothing even for a summer visit. However, do not let the threat of extreme weather put
you off - wind and waves only serve to dramatise this unique land.
